Wastewater Treatment Plant — Chalkidona & Adendro

For the wastewater treatment plant serving Chalkidona and Adendro, with a capacity of 3,952 m³ of wastewater per day, ALFA PLAN carried out the earthworks as subcontractor. The plant has been operating since 2018.

The site

A wastewater plant is largely underground: tanks, pumping stations and pipes sit deep in the ground. Besides the plant, the project included three village pumping stations and rising mains of 400 m and a twin 768 m line. Everything ran within the main contractor's programme, with the following crews waiting for each structure in turn.
